Our Story

After an international career in talent and leadership development working for global companies, including Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals and Yahoo!, James co-founded and led several of his own companies, including Strengthscope®, a global talent assessment and consulting company. During this time, James worked with a wide range of companies, including Astra Zeneca, Channel4, Legal and General, John Lewis, Novartis, PhotoBox, Sainsbury’s, Takeda and Tesco, to transform their leadership, performance and culture.

During the past two decades, James has dedicated his career to helping local and global organizations build positive leadership, thriving workplaces and talent ecosystems that adapt rapidly to changing market conditions and deliver breakthrough performance, innovation and sustainable growth.

Based on his strong belief in the power of positive leadership and a desire to help leaders build thriving workplaces where people achieve amazing things, enjoy better work lives and help make the world a better place, James established Plexus Leadership.

A “plexus” is a vital network of vessels or nerves in the human body. It is central to the effective functioning of our body. Just like the critical role leaders play in helping people and organizations thrive, plexuses provide our body with vital information, nutrients and oxygen so we can thrive. They also enable the body to deal with unhealthy waste and toxins, just like leaders need to tackle blockers, energy-drainers and destructive behaviour. As with strong organizational leadership, our plexuses need to be in alignment and functioning effectively to maintain good health.

Our leadership facilitators are engaging, passionate and impactful. To be considered, you will need:

  • Relevant industry experience, ideally from innovative sectors such as Tech, Digital, Media, Advertising and Life Sciences
  • A recognized training or facilitation qualification
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to be engaging and impactful
  • Degree-level qualification in psychology or business
  • Successful track record in leadership development and facilitation
  • A passion for learning and self-improvement
  • International experience will be an advantage
tech talent coaches - About Plexus leadership

Leadership Coaches

Location: UK and Europe
Our executive and leadership coaches are commercially savvy, passionate about leadership and skilled at bringing out the very best in their clients and their organizations. To be considered, you will need:

  • Relevant industry experience, ideally from innovative sectors such as Tech, Digital, Media, Advertising and Life Sciences
  • A recognized coaching qualification and a track record of at least 5 years coaching at senior levels (executive and Board experience will be a distinct advantage)
  • Experience in management and leadership roles
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Degree-level qualification in psychology or business
  • Successful track record in coaching executives, leaders and managers
  • International experience will be an advantage
tech talent trainers - About Plexus leadership

Business Development Executive

Location: UK and Europe
Lead the company’s outbound and inbound sales activities to help achieve the company’s sales and growth targets.

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in telesales, recruitment or customer service, ideally in a B2B environment
  • Degree-level qualification (business studies or psychology preferable)
  • Results-driven person willing to persevere to achieve targets
  • Strong initiative with a passion for finding & closing opportunities
  • Exceptional relationship skills, including the confidence to deal with senior people
  • Strong empathy and curiosity to build high trust and strong partnerships with clients
